Role overview
This position is for an Inventory Manager who can improve processes rather than simply maintain current practices. The role supports a fast-growing manufacturer of heavy-duty, off-highway land-clearing equipment used in demanding environments. The company has more than 30 years of experience building highly durable machines and has recently seen strong growth, including a 62% year-over-year increase in business.
You will oversee inventory control across four manufacturing sites, help roll out a new RF-based tracking solution, and make sure operations teams always have the materials needed to keep production running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Own inventory accuracy and control across all four manufacturing facilities.
- Introduce and manage an RF-enabled electronic inventory tracking process in daily operations.
- Work closely with operations leaders in fabrication, machining, paint, and assembly to keep materials moving without interruptions.
- Run an effective cycle count program and maintain a strong root-cause and corrective-action workflow to support ongoing improvement.
- Oversee receiving, inventory control, and materials-handling activities in support of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP).
Candidate profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Between 5 and 10 years of practical inventory experience in a durable goods manufacturing setting.
- Recent or current experience in an Inventory Manager role with expanding responsibility and ownership of an inventory system.
- Hands-on familiarity with inventory systems, preferably including RF guns and RF-based tracking tools.
Compensation and benefits
The role offers a competitive base salary of up to $110,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus.
Benefits include a collaborative work environment, 3 weeks of PTO, and 9 paid holidays.
Additional information
This is a hands-on leadership role with direct influence on operational performance and customer satisfaction. The company is in a period of rapid growth, and the selected candidate will play an important part in strengthening inventory operations.
