Your Role

As an intern software engineer, you will be an integral contributor to high-impact projects that affect Contented’s customers directly. This role provides hands-on involvement with AI technologies and the full software development lifecycle including ideation, development, testing, and deployment. You will collaborate closely with an expert and passionate team, gaining valuable practical experience that shapes your engineering skills.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• A strong track record demonstrated by a standout project within or beyond academic work
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex challenges
• Focus on building scalable and maintainable software solutions
• Highly resourceful with a proactive approach to work and tasks
• Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and preference for completing work promptly

Internship Details

• The internship comprises approximately 400 hours, equivalent to around 10 weeks full-time, with flexible start and finish dates
• The role is demanding and fast-paced, requiring immediate ownership of projects from the beginning without a lengthy ramp-up period
• This position is office-based located in Christchurch CBD, with no remote work offered
