Position Overview

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is seeking qualified teachers for an intermediate classroom assignment at St. Michael's School in Dunnville. The role covers Grade 7/8 and is a 1.0 FTE position.

Compensation

The pay range shown corresponds to the base rate through to A2 Max. Final compensation may be higher depending on the collective agreement, years of experience, and QECO classification.

Hiring Process Notes

• Under the OECTA Collective Agreement, the Board will shortlist the three most senior qualified applicants for interview.
• If no qualified occasional teacher applies, or if all qualified applicants decline the interview, external qualified applicants who are not on the occasional teacher roster may be considered.
• The Board will review the information in each applicant’s portfolio for hiring decisions.
• Applicants are encouraged to keep their portfolio current and include any relevant Additional Qualifications not yet listed on their Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification.
• Candidates being considered will be contacted by email and must confirm interest by replying no later than the end of the business day after the posting closes.
• Applicants who do not respond within that deadline will be treated as unavailable for the assignment.

About the Board

The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board serves more than 13,000 students across Brant, Haldimand, and Norfolk counties, the City of Brantford, Six Nations of the Grand River, and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. The system employs about 2,100 full- and part-time staff and operates 29 elementary schools, 3 secondary schools, a multisite Alternative Education school, and 3 administrative offices. The Board works within three dioceses: Hamilton, London, and St. Catharines, and is located within roughly an hour of Toronto, London, and Kitchener-Waterloo.
