Intermediate School Student Council Advisor

Job Summary

This position involves mentoring student leaders in organizing and implementing various student activities and initiatives. The advisor plays a critical role in ensuring these activities adhere to school policies while fostering the students' leadership development.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer guidance and support to student officers, senators, and committee members.
• Support the creation of agendas, meeting protocols, and governance frameworks.
• Assist in planning and leading regular student senate meetings, making sure they run smoothly and efficiently.
• Instruct students on parliamentary procedures and democratic decision-making processes.
• Help coordinate school events including dances, fundraising activities, assemblies, and community service projects.
• Ensure student government operations remain compliant with all established school rules and policies.
• Act as a conduit between the student senate and school administration.
• Maintain clear communication with students, their families, staff members, and teaching personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal, Assistant Superintendent, or Superintendent.

Education and Experience
