Incident Response Handler

Key Responsibilities

• Detect, respond to, and control sophisticated cyber threats impacting corporate networks.
• Lead investigations into security incidents, ensuring swift containment and thorough resolution.
• Coordinate incident response activities across various teams and organizational divisions, including conducting thorough post-incident analyses.
• Maintain updated incident response playbooks and proactively monitor security environments for emerging risks.
• Effectively communicate incident statuses and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring confidentiality is maintained and participate in on-call response rotation.
• Provide mentorship and manage escalated issues for junior security staff.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Minimum four years of experience in information security with a focus on incident response operations.
• Strong proficiency with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems, network concepts, and cybersecurity tools.
• Demonstrated ability in forensic incident analysis, troubleshooting, and identifying root causes.
• Experience working with security monitoring systems including SIEM, firewalls, and scripting tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on teamwork, decision-making, and client orientation.
• Experience mentoring less experienced team members is advantageous.
• Certifications such as SANS GCFA or GCIH are preferred.
• Hands-on experience with digital forensics or malware analysis is a bonus.
• A proactive approach toward enhancing security postures and supporting business objectives.
