About the Role

This role presents an opportunity to contribute to meaningful cybersecurity efforts within the Cyber Fusion Center by managing security incidents, evaluating threats, and orchestrating effective responses to safeguard enterprise networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Detect, respond to, and control sophisticated cyber threats impacting corporate networks.
- Lead investigations into security incidents, ensuring swift containment and thorough resolution.
- Coordinate incident response activities across various teams and organizational divisions, including conducting thorough post-incident analyses.
- Maintain updated incident response playbooks and proactively monitor security environments for emerging risks.
- Effectively communicate incident statuses and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders, ensuring confidentiality is maintained and participate in on-call response rotation.
- Provide mentorship and manage escalated issues for junior security staff.
Qualifications and Required Skills
- Minimum four years of experience in information security with a focus on incident response operations.
- Strong proficiency with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems, network concepts, and cybersecurity tools.
- Demonstrated ability in forensic incident analysis, troubleshooting, and identifying root causes.
- Experience working with security monitoring systems including SIEM, firewalls, and scripting tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on teamwork, decision-making, and client orientation.
- Experience mentoring less experienced team members is advantageous.
- Certifications such as SANS GCFA or GCIH are preferred.
- Hands-on experience with digital forensics or malware analysis is a bonus.
- A proactive approach toward enhancing security postures and supporting business objectives.
