About the Role
This position represents a partner company seeking an Implementation Consultant based in Canada, dedicated to advancing digital transformation in healthcare through the deployment of innovative electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to enhance workflows, configure EMR systems, and facilitate the seamless adoption of digital healthcare platforms. You'll be an integral member of multidisciplinary teams including technical experts, clinical specialists, and project managers, thereby delivering meaningful healthcare solutions.
This role merges healthcare expertise with IT knowledge, consulting aptitude, and client relationship management skills, playing a pivotal role in improving care delivery and supporting healthcare providers in leveraging modern digital tools effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy healthcare software solutions focusing on EMR platforms and ambulatory care features.
- Execute project activities as per defined implementation plans, engaging collaboratively with project managers, architects, clinical consultants, and stakeholders.
- Configure and provide technical assistance for system implementations to ensure successful deployments.
- Analyze and transform existing healthcare workflows from paper-based processes into streamlined digital workflows.
- Offer consulting expertise on crucial ambulatory functions including patient registration, scheduling, and clinical documentation.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate technical issues and workflow complexities during project execution.
- Support go-live initiatives, promoting system adoption and achievement of transformation goals.
- Forge strong professional relationships with end users, clinical teams, and executives by managing expectations and offering expert guidance.
- Advocate for client needs, ensuring successful project completion and sustained solution adoption.
Candidate Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree or possess equivalent professional experience.
- Have a minimum of 2 years practical experience in healthcare IT implementation and system configuration.
- Demonstrate solid functional understanding of EMR/EHR platforms and healthcare workflows.
- Participated in structured implementation projects with successful EMR rollouts.
- Experience with healthcare systems such as Sunrise EMR, Epic, Meditech, or comparable platforms is advantageous.
- Preference for candidates with a clinical background or experience supporting clinical teams through technology adoption.
- Technical skills such as SQL, reporting tools, or system configuration knowledge are beneficial.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging both technical staff and executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities in extended implementation projects.
- A quick learner with adaptability to changing environments and problem-solving capability.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% for key implementation and launch activities.
