Role Overview
At our new Leicester food production facility, we seek motivated, dependable Hygiene Operatives dedicated to maintaining exceptional cleanliness and food safety standards. This role involves hands-on cleaning tasks essential for keeping the site safe, clean, and compliant with audits.
Working Hours
The position operates Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhering strictly to the established site Hygiene Plan.
- Performing both high and low risk cleaning activities including surfaces, machinery, walls, floors, overhead areas, conveyor belts, and using scrubbing and sweeping equipment.
- Disassembling factory machinery for thorough cleaning.
- Applying cleaning chemicals correctly as per Cleaning Instruction Cards and maintaining safety standards.
- Ensuring the work environment is clean and safe at all times.
- Proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and tools.
- Accurately completing all hygiene and safety documentation within set deadlines.
- Complying with all guidelines related to chemicals, tools, and HACCP protocols.

- Previous experience in hygiene or food manufacturing is essential; full training will be provided.
