About the Position

This HR Business Partner role is based in London, with a hybrid work pattern requiring three days in the office (Liverpool Street) and two days remote after the probation period. Initially, for the first 3 to 6 months, the successful candidate will work on-site at the Wickford, Essex office three days weekly to aid onboarding and training. Candidates must be able and willing to commute between Wickford and London. The position reports directly to the HR Director for the UK & Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer daily HR advice and operational support to managers and employees across the UK and Ireland.
  • Partner closely with business leaders to support workforce planning, drive performance management, and foster employee development.
  • Coach managers to enable sound decision-making, mitigating people-related risks effectively.
  • Assist in organizational change initiatives and design projects to align people structures with business needs.
  • Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary actions, grievances, performance issues, and conflict resolution while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Promote employee engagement programs and cultivate a positive workplace culture emphasizing inclusivity.
  • Maintain and improve HR operations including payroll support, benefits administration, and employee data accuracy using Workday and other systems.
  • Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) initiatives through various recruitment, development, and engagement activities.

Required Experience and Skills

  • At least 4 years of HR experience, preferably in an HR Business Partner or generalist role, with strong knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Hands-on experience managing employee relations and organizational change.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-moving environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills paired with commercial awareness and practical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient in HR systems, particularly Workday.
  • CIPD Level 5 certification or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
