Role Overview

We are looking for reliable Full-Time or Part-Time Housekeeping/Kitchen Assistants to join our nursing home in Dungarvan. This role involves maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility and assisting in kitchen duties as required, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms and communal areas daily, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Appropriately use and store cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Collect and dispose of domestic waste correctly.
• Attend promptly to spillages, using wet floor signs to prevent accidents.
• Ensure workplace safety practices are maintained at all times.
• Work flexibly across various tasks depending on the home's needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of kitchen areas in coordination with the Head Chef and kitchen team.
• Manage pot and dish washing operations efficiently.
• Assist with food preparation and handing while reporting any kitchen-related issues to the Head Chef.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role desirable but not mandatory.
• Genuine passion for elder care and commitment to providing a safe, clean living environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Comfortable managing responsibilities in a sometimes demanding environment.
