Role Summary

The Hotel Manager will serve as a key leadership figure, entrusted with overseeing daily operations, driving commercial success, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This position involves close collaboration with the General Manager and department heads to meet financial objectives, operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities across all hotel departments ensuring exemplary service delivery and adherence to Avani’s standards.
  • Improve operational efficiencies, productivity, and uphold quality benchmarks throughout the property.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts targeting enhanced operational outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure adequate resource allocation to meet business needs promptly and effectively.
  • Support financial targets including revenue generation, profitability, budget control, and overall business performance.
  • Monitor market trends and collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales, and Marketing to maximize revenue streams in Rooms, Food & Beverage, Meetings & Events, and ancillary services.
  • Champion a guest-centric approach focused on surpassing expectations and maintaining brand reputation.
  • Oversee service recovery and implement improvements based on guest feedback.
  • Inspire and develop departmental leadership and teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and innovation within a positive work culture.
  • Conduct talent development, succession planning, and performance management aligned with company policies and labor legislation.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, security, environmental, and regulatory standards, managing risk and audit requirements thoroughly.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a commercially savvy and operationally focused hospitality professional with strong leadership capabilities, able to manage complex hotel operations while delivering outstanding guest service, efficient team management, and financial achievements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, Tourism Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum of eight years’ management experience within the hospitality sector.
  • At least five years in senior leadership roles within hotels, resorts, or integrated hospitality settings.
  • Proven track record managing multiple hotel departments effectively.
  • Strong understanding of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
  • Experience successfully enhancing operational performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and coaching large diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree, MBA, or master’s qualification.
  • Experience in internationally branded hotel environments.
  • Familiarity with resort, leisure, or gaming operations.
  • Exposure to regional or multi-property leadership.
