Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor

Position Overview

This role is located in Lusail, Qatar at Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, focusing on the supervision of housekeeping quality and coordination among teams to uphold excellent hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and facility areas such as pools after housekeeping has completed cleaning to guarantee adherence to quality standards.
• Run reports on room occupancy, verify room readiness, identify rooms with issues, prioritize cleaning tasks, and update the status of rooms, especially those scheduled for guest departure.
• Support the housekeeping management team with daily operational tasks, including coordinating with engineering, front office, and laundry departments to ensure smooth workflow.
• Report and document discrepancies found in room conditions in collaboration with the front desk to facilitate timely resolution.
• Manage communication of room assignment changes and provide shift handovers to maintain operational continuity.
• Assist with personnel management duties including recruitment, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of housekeeping staff.
• Comply strictly with all company policies relating to safety, security, appearance standards, confidentiality, and asset protection.
• Deliver high-quality guest service by welcoming guests per company protocols, anticipating their needs, assisting guests with disabilities, and expressing sincere appreciation.
• Develop positive relationships with coworkers by listening attentively and responding responsibly to their concerns.
• Maintain physical capabilities to carry loads up to 55 pounds unaided, operate housekeeping equipment on uneven surfaces, and physically perform duties including standing, bending, lifting, reaching, and fine motor tasks throughout a shift.
• Utilize computer and point-of-sale systems to access and verify work-related information accurately.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of high school or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year in a related housekeeping role and at least one year in a supervisory position.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required.
