Historian & Heritage Research Specialist

About the Role

We seek a deeply motivated and analytical Historian & Heritage Research Specialist to spearhead research efforts, verify historical accuracy, and craft compelling narratives for diverse cultural initiatives such as museums, exhibitions, heritage projects, memorial sites, experience centers, and immersive visitor encounters. This role demands full-time presence onsite in Gurgaon, Haryana, India, with the candidate expected to commence duties within 15 days of selection.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive historical, cultural, archaeological, and archival investigations.
• Confirm authenticity and accuracy of historical events, timelines, artifacts, notable figures, and cultural elements.
• Create and structure historical storylines, chronological sequences, interpretive materials, and educational journeys tailored for visitors.
• Work collaboratively with Scriptwriters and Creative Directors to convert research insights into engaging and immersive experiences.

Qualifications and Experience

• Thorough expertise in Indian and global history, archaeology, heritage conservation, art, culture, and civilizations.
• Doctorate degree in History, Archaeology, Heritage Studies, Museum Studies, Ancient Indian History, or Art History.
• Between five to ten years of professional experience focused primarily on historical research, museum research (a compulsory requirement), heritage interpretation, or archaeology.

Compensation and Work Environment

We offer a stimulating work setting where the candidate's research significantly influences impactful visitor experiences across heritage and cultural projects. The remuneration package can be up to 12 lakhs INR annually, determined by role suitability, professional background, skills, interview results, and current pay scale. The position involves collaboration with creative teams on notable museum and exhibition undertakings, bringing history vividly to audiences.
