Hemodialysis Nurse

Role Overview

At Fresenius Medical Care, our Dialysis Nurses are central to providing exceptional patient care. Within our dialysis centers, you will deliver essential treatments that sustain life, build trusting relationships with patients and their families, and utilize advanced medical technology. This position demands a combination of clinical skill and empathetic care to help patients with chronic kidney disease live healthier, fuller lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in the planning, execution, and evaluation of patient care in the hemodialysis clinical environment, including assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments to assess efficacy.
• Comply strictly with all company policies and operating instructions related to clinical and operational management.
• Monitor blood test results and promptly report any abnormalities to the Medical Director.
• Provide patient education on dietary restrictions, fluid management, medication adherence, and blood pressure control to enhance clinical outcomes.
• Support patient adaptation to chronic hemodialysis (CHD) by offering motivation and encouragement.
• Oversee the dialysis water treatment systems and fluids to guarantee safe and quality dialysis care.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with patients and their families, providing sufficient emotional and informational support.
• Promote a safe, secure, and healthy environment for staff, patients, and visitors, following infection prevention and control (IPC) and environmental policies.
• Ensure all equipment is well-maintained, clean, safe, and functionality issues are reported appropriately.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation within medical records, including the Therapy Data Management System (TDMS) and EuClid Clinical Information System, while upholding confidentiality and privacy regulations.
• Safeguard patient rights by adhering to privacy principles and delivering high-quality care.
• Contribute actively to quality improvement by reporting incidents, hazards, and areas for enhancement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
• Registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) is mandatory.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in Singapore is required for foreign applicants.
• Advanced training in hemodialysis is advantageous; experience as a renal nurse is essential.
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be current and valid.
