Heavy Vehicle Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a proficient Heavy Vehicle Driver to operate and manage trucks and similar heavy vehicles efficiently at our Coimbatore location. The role demands excellent driving skills, compliance with traffic and safety regulations, and effective communication with the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles such as trucks, Eicher, Car, and Enova competently.
• Demonstrate patience and discipline during extended driving periods.
• Maintain clear communication in Tamil with supervisors and staff for coordination.
• Handle and manage necessary documentation including logbooks, trip sheets, delivery notes effectively.
• Regularly check and update vehicle documents like Registration Certificate, Insurance, and Permits.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Collect materials from local markets or vendor sites as per purchase orders and guarantee timely delivery to the site or store without damage.

Candidate Requirements

• Must possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (LMV/HMV).
• Good eyesight and hearing, with a medical fitness certificate complying with transport regulations; must be drug-free.
• Proven expertise in operating heavy vehicles.
• Basic documentation management skills.
• Effective communication skills in Tamil language.

Compensation & Work Details

This is a full-time position located onsite in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The monthly salary range is between 15,000 and 25,000 INR.
