Overview
The Head of Digital at Choice Stores, based in Ashbourne, County Meath, is a senior leadership role responsible for steering the company’s digital commerce growth and delivering an exceptional omnichannel customer experience. This role carries full responsibility for the profitability of online sales, digital trading results, customer acquisition strategies, website optimization, and overall digital business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute the company’s comprehensive digital strategy aligned with broader business goals.
- Manage and drive all digital channels’ commercial outcomes including revenue, gross margin, profitability, and ROI.
- Create digital trading plans, budgets, and set performance targets on an annual basis.
- Lead development of a digital roadmap identifying future capabilities, technology investments, and growth opportunities.
- Explore and capitalize on new revenue streams by leveraging digital innovation, evolving tech, consumer behavior shifts, and market trends.
- Oversee and optimize the online store including merchandising, pricing, promotions, category management, and site functionality.
- Utilize data-driven techniques to enhance website usability, navigation, search, checkout, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate closely with systems teams to ensure inventory accuracy, platform stability, and seamless shopping experience.
- Develop and oversee customer acquisition and retention approaches to maximize profitable growth via digital marketing channels such as SEO, PPC, social media, email, and others.
- Manage agency and partner relationships to meet strategic commercial objectives.
- Craft and implement an integrated omnichannel strategy that aligns digital initiatives with physical store performance, enhancing overall customer journey.
- Lead the adoption of AI and automation tools within digital functions to improve productivity, customer experiences, and commercial results.
- Champion continuous evaluation of emerging digital technologies and automation solutions that increase efficiency and competitive advantage.
- Develop key performance indicators and dashboards for digital trading and marketing effectiveness.
- Analyze commercial data, market trends, and competitor activities to provide insights and guide investment decisions.
- Lead and mentor the digital team, nurture growth, allocate budgets wisely, and foster a culture of evidence-based optimization.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, digital governance policies, and accessibility standards.
- Participate in Senior Leadership Team discussions, contributing to overall company strategy.
