Group Leader

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Group Leader to join our team at Campus Camps based in Oakdale, NY. The primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of campers by supervising their activities and preventing any harm or getting lost. Additionally, you will facilitate engaging outdoor learning experiences, organize entertaining games, and assist with setting up camping gear. A passion for the outdoors and a desire to inspire campers is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise and escort campers during various activities to maintain safety and order
• Design and implement enjoyable and educational experiences for campers
• Maintain clear and timely communication with parents about camper progress and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Prior experience in camp counseling or a comparable supervisory role
• Strong organizational skills with a commitment to responsibility
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Physically fit to handle demands such as hiking, running, and transporting equipment
