Graduate Engineer - Industrial Vibration and Structural Dynamics

About the Role

Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd is inviting applications for a Graduate Engineer to join our Industrial team based in Spring Hill, Brisbane, Queensland. Our company is a versatile, nationwide engineering consultancy specializing in vibration, acoustics, and related engineering fields serving diverse sectors including building, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, defence, mining, and commercial clients. This role involves working with a collaborative group of consultants focused on industrial vibration applications, machine reliability, structural dynamics, and structural design. Travel across Queensland and other Australian states will be required as part of this position.

Key Responsibilities and Work Environment

• Contribute to projects predominantly focusing on vibration data collection and analysis aimed at addressing structural integrity, fatigue failure, machine reliability, and fluid dynamics challenges.
• Engage extensively with specialized hardware and software tools daily, employing data acquisition systems, finite element modelling techniques (including static, dynamic, and acoustic simulations), and other engineering analysis platforms such as MATLAB and Python.

Candidate Profile and Skillset

• Possession of a mechanical engineering degree or a comparable science degree, with postgraduate qualifications considered a plus.
• Demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in areas such as vibration, dynamics, stress analysis, and acoustics.
• Competence in computational modelling and engineering programming, ideally with experience using software like ANSYS, MATLAB, Python, or equivalent applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willingness and readiness to travel for fieldwork and site visits.
• Effective as both a collaborative team member and independently when necessary.
