About the Role

AGSE Tooling is recruiting for a Global Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager to steer our worldwide sourcing and procurement efforts while managing key supplier partnerships across North America, Europe, Asia, and additional international markets. The position involves crafting sourcing strategies, negotiating vendor agreements, overseeing procurement processes, mitigating supply chain risks, and leading an expanding procurement team.

The successful candidate will exhibit strong strategic insight, robust supplier management skills, and leadership experience, preferably within manufacturing or aerospace sectors. This role collaborates closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Executive Leadership to sustain a dependable, cost-efficient, and scalable global supply chain supporting our growth ambitions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation and execution of worldwide sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with corporate goals
• Lead activities related to international supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and performance management
• Negotiate and manage supplier contracts that improve costs, delivery times, and supplier reliability ensuring uninterrupted supply
• Oversee strategic supplier relationships across Asia, Europe, North America
• Recruit and manage a global procurement team
• Analyze market trends, geopolitical issues, tariffs, currency changes, and supply chain risks to inform procurement choices
• Implement supplier cost reduction initiatives while maintaining required quality and delivery standards
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, quality, logistics, finance, sales, and customer service teams to meet production and client needs
• Lead supplier performance management by tracking key metrics like quality, punctuality, responsiveness, capacity, and ongoing improvements
• Manage supplier selection and onboarding for sophisticated mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, machined components, and spare parts, establishing a resilient supplier base
• Ensure strict adherence to corporate procurement policies
• Optimize inventory and supplier capacity planning to guarantee material availability, reduce inventory investment, and support timely deliveries
• Perform supplier audits, business reviews, and global site visits when necessary
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and enhance continuity
• Leverage ERP/MRP tools and procurement analytics to boost efficiency and reporting accuracy

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related area
• Minimum of 7 years managing selection, qualification, and oversight of international suppliers supporting diverse, low-volume complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies in global supply chains
• Technical expertise to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specs, and bills of materials supporting sourcing decisions, supplier assessments, and cost analysis
• Proven success in global strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management, including negotiating contracts and improving cost, quality, and delivery
• Background in aerospace, manufacturing, industrial equipment, automotive, or highly engineered products preferred
• Understanding of international trade compliance, Incoterms, tariffs, and global logistics
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems; Epicor experience favored
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration aptitude to influence and engage multiple teams
• Advanced skills in analytics, finance, and problem solving to identify opportunities and develop sourcing solutions
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% both domestically and internationally

Preferred Credentials

• Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or engineered products
• Familiarity sourcing machined, fabricated, welded, and electromechanical components
• In-depth knowledge of international trade rules, tariffs, and logistics
• Experience conducting supplier audits and working with quality management systems
• Advanced degree such as Master’s in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certifications like APICS, CPSM, or CSCP

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary ranging between $125,000 and $140,000 annually

Working Conditions

This full-time position is located onsite in Cincinnati, Ohio (45215). The role requires occasional domestic and international travel to support supplier audits, business reviews, sourcing activities, and strategic supplier development. Engagements with international clients and vendors are common and may occasionally require working outside regular hours.
