Full Time Nanny - Richmond, VA

Job Summary

A friendly family in Richmond, VA is looking for a trustworthy, lively, and attentive nanny to care for their 1-year-old child. This role suits someone who enjoys working with toddlers, values outdoor activities, and is prepared to provide nurturing, consistent care through various daily routines and developmental support.

Key Responsibilities

• Feed the child and uphold a regular nap schedule to ensure healthy habits.
• Engage the toddler in suitable play and learning activities that support growth.
• Take the child to outings including library story times, art lessons, parks, and other local children’s events.
• Use a reliable vehicle with a valid driver's license for transportation; mileage for work-related driving reimbursed.
• Work independently, even when a parent is occasionally working from home.

Work Schedule and Transition

• Monday and Tuesday: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Wednesday and Thursday: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
• Friday: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
• Starting late September, when child attends daycare, hours adjust to 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday with a move to part-time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Experience caring for preschool-aged children and older.
• Punctuality, reliability, and strong communication skills are essential.
• Must have dependable transportation and willingness to drive the child as needed.
• Commitment to the schedule and at least one year to ensure job stability.

Additional Information

• Screen time is not permitted for the child.
• The family provides W-2 payroll and guarantees working hours.
• Interviews are conducted by a specialist prior to meeting the family.
