Job Summary

This janitor role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in educational facilities. The position includes heavy-duty cleaning tasks such as floor care, window washing, carpet shampooing, and rubbish disposal to ensure a healthy, inviting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and properly dispose of trash while adhering to infection control protocols.
• Perform dusting and damp mopping of floors following specified procedures.
• Relocate furniture and equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning then return items to their original locations.
• Clean designated areas using assigned tools and materials, sanitizing all surfaces as per an eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards to maintain a hygienic environment for all occupants.
• Identify and proactively address additional cleaning needs throughout the facility.
• Complete supervisor-assigned tasks efficiently and according to guidelines.
• Adhere to all relevant federal, state, and county regulations during task execution.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets to preserve cleanliness.
• Contribute positively to team culture demonstrating professionalism towards customers and colleagues.
• Carry out additional duties as directed.

Work Schedule

The role offers a full-time schedule with variable daytime shifts between 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, providing flexibility to suit personal scheduling needs.

Required Qualifications

• Previous janitorial experience is preferred, though willing to provide training for candidates without.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay rate ranges from $12.00 to $12.50 per hour.
• Same-day pay options available.
