Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Mobile App Developers skilled in React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin to contribute to the Tendem project by crafting native and cross-platform mobile applications for practical use cases. The role is part-time and fully remote, focused on delivering stable, efficient, and engaging mobile applications supporting iOS and Android ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mobile applications utilizing React Native, Flutter, Swift (iOS), or Kotlin (Android).
- Create responsive user interfaces adhering to platform standards such as iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
- Integrate native device functionalities including camera access, push notifications, geolocation, local storage, and biometric authentication.
- Connect applications with backend APIs, manage offline scenarios, caching mechanisms, and data synchronization.
- Implement monetization features as needed, like in-app purchases, advertising, and subscriptions.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, optimization focused on correctness, performance, battery consumption, and maintainability.
- Resolve platform-specific challenges and prepare application builds for deployment through channels like TestFlight and Google Play Console.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in mobile application development.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline is advantageous.
Technical Expertise
- Proficiency with at least one technology: React Native, Flutter, Swift/SwiftUI for iOS, or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose for Android.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mobile UI paradigms, navigation structures, state management, and adherence to platform-specific guidelines.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, asynchronous data processing, and local data storage solutions.
- Familiarity with device-specific services such as notifications, camera use, location services, storage, and biometrics.
- Skilled in mobile build processes, code signing, and marketplace submissions (Apple App Store, Google Play Store).
- Experience with integrating monetization features including in-app purchases, advertising, and subscriptions is a plus.
- Knowledge of backend platforms such as Firebase, Supabase, or equivalent, is beneficial.
Additional Criteria
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on performance, stability, and delivering polished user experiences on mobile platforms.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage full-cycle feature delivery efficiently.
- Submission of a portfolio showcasing previously published mobile applications with preferred links to App Store or Google Play.
- Proficient English communication skills at an upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.
Project Details and Compensation
This freelance engagement expects approximately 10 to 20 hours of work per week during the project's active phases, although hours may vary depending on requirements.
Compensation can reach up to $60 per hour, with payment levels adjusted based on individual expertise and pace of contribution. Other projects within the platform may have varied pay scales based on their complexity and scope.
