Role Overview
Aquent is collaborating with a top Canadian retail company to engage a Freelance Copywriter to develop engaging customer-centric marketing content for various digital platforms. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in prominent promotional campaigns while working closely with skilled creative, marketing, and design professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop persuasive promotional copy for multiple digital channels including emails, landing pages, banner advertisements, and social media platforms.
- Transform stakeholder inputs into clear, audience-focused messaging.
- Maintain alignment with the brand’s established voice and style guidelines.
- Proofread and polish copy to ensure error-free content prior to publication.
- Partner with designers, project managers, and creative teams throughout campaign development.
- Engage in creative feedback sessions and participate in iterative revision processes.
- Handle concurrent projects while meeting deadlines effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in professional copywriting roles.
- Background in retail, consumer brand marketing, or agency environments.
- Exceptional grammar, editing precision, and proofreading capabilities.
- Proven experience composing content for digital marketing campaigns.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced context.
- Strong collaboration skills combined with excellent time management.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience with Canadian retail or e-commerce sectors.
- Previous work within agency settings.
- Familiarity supporting promotional calendar workflows.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles.
