Role Overview

The Forensic Executive Accountant position is a full-time, on-premise role located in Galway, Ireland. The primary responsibility entails performing in-depth forensic accounting evaluations, scrutinizing financial documentation for irregularities, potential fraud, or breaches of compliance. Daily duties involve reviewing financial statements, conducting business valuations, preparing investigative reports, and assisting both internal and external audits.

This role requires cooperation with management and various stakeholders to communicate findings, propose control measures, and strengthen financial governance frameworks. Maintaining confidentiality, adhering to professional standards, and contributing to continuous enhancements in financial operations are critical expectations.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient forensic accounting and analytical capabilities, with proven experience in probing financial discrepancies.
• Exceptional analytical aptitude to interpret complex financial information and detect patterns or inconsistencies.
• Competence in preparing and reviewing financial statements with precision and regulatory compliance.
• Experience conducting business valuations or similar financial assessments.
• Possession of recognized professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with accounting principles, auditing procedures, and relevant legal or regulatory frameworks pertaining to financial inquiries.
• Advanced skills in spreadsheet use and accounting software; knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus.
• Strong communication abilities, both written and oral, with capacity to develop clear, evidence-based documentation.
• High ethical integrity, solid judgment, and discretion in managing confidential matters.
• Capability to work physically at the Galway site, juggle several projects simultaneously, and collaborate efficiently across teams.
