Job Summary

We are seeking motivated full-time Floor Technicians to join our team in Murfreesboro, TN. This role offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour and involves various floor care duties during designated shifts, primarily from 5am to 10am. The position includes physical tasks with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform stain removal, extraction, bonnet cleaning, stripping/waxing, scrubbing/recoating, sealing/grouting, and similar floor maintenance tasks.
• Clean, polish, and repair carpeted and non-carpeted areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and stairs.
• Move furniture and large items as needed, following safety protocols to prevent injuries.
• Maintain the janitorial closet in an orderly and clean state.
• Prepare chemicals and operate equipment aligning with manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure building doors and windows are secure and closed.
• Report repairs, safety hazards, or additional service needs to supervisors.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Complete other assigned duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to operate cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies is desirable but not mandatory.
• At least one year of prior floor care or maintenance experience preferred.

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Ability to lift and move containers weighing up to 49 pounds.
• Comfortable lifting and carrying objects between 15 and 25 pounds.
• Regularly bend, lift, stretch, and reach above and below waist height.
• Manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Safe navigation of stairs and catwalks without restrictions.
• Hand-eye coordination, foot pedal operation, and wrist movement requiring repetitive flexion and rotation.

Additional Information

• KBS employs KBSPresence mobile timekeeping software for tracking hours, attendance, training, and communication. Hourly nonexempt employees must use the app on their personal devices to clock in/out and breaks. Cell phone usage reimbursement is offered according to local laws.
