Job description
Role Overview
This part-time position offers you the chance to join a reputable property development and investment company, with the option to work four days per week or distribute your hours over five school-friendly days. You will report directly to senior leadership and play a vital role supporting the finance function within a collaborative and family-friendly workplace.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable activities ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee Accounts Receivable processes including debtor follow-up
- Perform bank reconciliations and daily transaction monitoring
- Process supplier invoices and coordinate payments efficiently
- Contribute to month-end financial reports and perform general finance administrative duties
- Handle financial documentation related to projects
- Support tracking and reporting of cash flow
- Communicate effectively with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Maintain precise financial records and update finance systems as required
- Assist with various finance and administrative tasks on an as-needed basis
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in roles such as Finance Officer, Accounts Officer, or Bookkeeper
- Familiarity with property development, construction, or real estate industries is highly advantageous
- Strong expertise in Accounts Payable and Receivable procedures
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Capable of working independently while handling shifting priorities
- Effective communication skills and confidence in stakeholder interactions
- Proactive problem solver who can think quickly and take initiative
- Experience with accounting software like Xero, MYOB, MYOB Advanced, or similar platforms
