Role Overview
Join SprintRay's Finance team in Los Angeles as a Finance AI & Automation Intern for a 3-6 month onsite position. This internship focuses on leveraging AI and automation to enhance financial processes, boosting accuracy and efficiency while reducing manual effort. You will gain hands-on experience with core finance operations, ERP systems, and transaction-level data to build a foundation for meaningful AI-based improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Spot opportunities for AI and automation across various finance functions including Accounting, AP, AR, Cost Accounting, and FP&A.
- Gather and structure ERP transaction data to aid process analysis and support automation designs.
- Test and implement AI-driven tools for activities like invoice management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance examination.
- Advance automation projects aiming to eliminate repetitive manual tasks, enhance consistency, and improve data precision.
- Develop prototypes of AI-assisted tools for reporting, reconciliation, forecasting, and exception identification within Finance.
- Maintain thorough documentation of use cases, trial outcomes, process updates, and potential return on investment for scaling.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with a bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related disciplines.
- Basic knowledge of finance/accounting principles combined with a keen interest in AI, automation, and process optimization.
- Proficient with spreadsheets and handling transaction-level data, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication skills, and ability to rapidly learn and collaborate with others.
- Preferable experience with AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or equivalents used for data analysis and workflow enhancements.
- Experience or coursework involving Python, SQL, data analytics, automation, or AI applications is advantageous.
Compensation and Employment Details
This role offers $25 to $30 per hour for a 3 to 6 month duration, requiring onsite presence in Los Angeles, CA.
