Role overview
Babcock is expanding and is seeking a Facilities Coordinator for its Abbotsford site in Victoria. In this position, you will report to the National Facilities Manager and help keep the workplace safe, practical and operating efficiently for day-to-day business needs.
This is a hands-on facilities position with broad responsibility across a leased site. You will oversee maintenance, repairs, contractor engagement, compliance matters, space planning, office layout improvements and the overall appearance of the workplace. The role also includes supporting other locations when required to help maintain consistent standards across the business.

Key responsibilities
You will act as the main contact for facilities matters and manage both routine and urgent requests across the site. The work covers service scheduling, contractor oversight, documentation control and meeting relevant regulatory and safety obligations.
- Coordinate planned maintenance, repairs and unplanned facilities issues.
- Manage contractor activity and workplace service providers.
- Oversee compliance requirements, records and related documentation.
- Support site presentation, workplace layout and space optimisation efforts.
- Assist other sites when needed to maintain operational consistency.
Requirements
- Australian citizenship and either an existing Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Proven background in facilities coordination, office administration or site-based operational support.
- Experience organising contractors, maintenance work and workplace services.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, preferably in a corporate or regulated environment.
- Formal training in Facilities Management, Business Administration or a similar area is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
