Expert SIM Data Generation Specialist

Overview

The Vodafone SIM Technology Centre (STC) in Düsseldorf oversees the strategy, security, engineering, lifecycle, and operations of centrally managed SIM/eSIM products and solutions. This includes traditional SIM cards, eSIMs, related provisioning systems, and upcoming SIM/eSIM innovations aimed at secure network access and regulatory compliance in telecommunications.

Role Purpose

The position of Expert SIM Data Generation acts as the main operator for generating SIM product data across local markets and Vodafone Group partners. The role involves developing and deploying scripts for SIM data generation, integrating multiple data sources, transforming data into various export formats, coordinating SIM product type approvals, and managing integration with commercial ordering systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of scripts to generate SIM data and integrate diverse datasets into required formats.
• Coordinate type approval processes for SIM products, ensuring they are orderable by customers.
• Manage incoming SIM data generation requests and distribute outputs to external and internal customer systems.
• Oversee the operation and administration of in-house SIM data generation infrastructure, promptly addressing errors and infrastructure issues.
• Drive continuous enhancements of SIM data generation capabilities in line with evolving requirements and feature requests.
• Collaborate closely with operational, product, and technical teams to support service improvements and new feature rollouts, considering standards, security, and emerging technologies.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Engineering, IT, Security, or related discipline with at least three years of relevant work experience.
• In-depth knowledge of SIM/eSIM technologies and standards such as ETSI and GSMA, alongside telecommunication industry experience.
• Experience handling complex processes and managing projects.
• Fluent verbal and written English communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively with local and international remote stakeholders.
