Job Summary and Supervision

The Expediting Specialist reports directly to the project Expediting Supervisor and receives functional guidance from the Expediting Manager. The role requires close interaction with project teams including procurement, engineering, construction, start-up, planning, scheduling, area expediting, and other related personnel. The position is based in Vadodara and requires full-time onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of engineering data, production, and shipments aligned with project timelines.
• Monitor schedules and progress to meet material requirements at the jobsite.
• Generate and distribute critical reports related to project expediting.
• Align procurement priorities with planning, construction, and logistics departments.
• Facilitate engineering reviews and approvals to expedite processes.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Supervise area expediting activities and coordinate supplier quality assurance.
• Support customs clearance processes and track material movement at the jobsite.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a reputable university.
• Minimum five years of industry experience, including at least three years in expediting roles.

Required Skills

• Understanding of engineering and procurement procedures and production methodologies.
• Experience conducting expediting visits and evaluating supplier performance.
• Ability to provide early warnings about supplier issues or delays to project management.
• Professional interaction skills with suppliers and project personnel.
• Competency in interpreting and ensuring realistic scheduling with proper interface between activities.
• Knowledge of the supplier warning and advisory processes.
• Proficient in drafting clear, detailed correspondence and reports.
• Familiarity with budget development and management.
• Understanding of logistics and supplier quality functions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills regarding technical and production topics.
