About APIIT Sri Lanka
Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) Sri Lanka is a higher education institution dedicated to enhancing students' academic and personal growth. In partnership with Staffordshire University, it provides British undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Business Management, Computing/IT, and Law.
Role Overview
The Industry Liaison Executive plays a key role in expanding APIIT's connections with industry leaders, particularly in the computing sector. This position is instrumental in securing technology-related internships and organizing workshops that equip students with practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain partnerships with technology companies to facilitate student internships that complement their computing and IT studies.
- Plan and conduct workshops and events that deliver up-to-date industry knowledge and skills to students.
- Represent APIIT at industry functions, fostering and managing relationships with professionals and organizations in the computing sector.
- Evaluate the success of initiatives and continuously improve programs to enhance students' readiness for careers in technology.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education, Computing, or a related discipline.
- Have 3 to 5 years of experience in industry relations or partnership development roles.
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on supporting student achievement.
- Knowledge of current trends in the computing industry and skills in event planning are advantageous.
