Role Overview

As an Estimator, you play a critical and specialized role within your district, transforming architectural and structural plans into precise, actionable, and pragmatic estimates at the store level. You not only contribute technically but also provide valuable advisory support, offering budgeting clarity to customers and serving as a trusted expert for colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural and structural designs to produce detailed, accurate estimates
• Generate strategic quotes that improve win ratios on important projects
• Design technical solutions, including engineered wood layouts (such as beams and joists)
• Suggest optimization and code-compliant alternatives
• Serve as a technical resource for sales teams and PRO (professional) customers
• Work closely with clients, engineers, and architects
• Effectively handle and prioritize numerous significant requests
• Drive sales conversions and support PRO segment growth

Candidate Profile

• Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans
• Documented experience in construction estimating
• Strong analytical skills with a solution-driven approach
• Thorough understanding of building materials and regulatory codes
• High degree of accuracy and composure under pressure
• Experience with wood-frame construction and engineered wood is highly favorable
