Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based in Dubai requires an Escrow Agent to handle escrow accounts associated with real estate and corporate deals, ensuring secure management of funds and documentation in line with law and firm guidelines. Responsibilities include preparing and assessing escrow instructions, coordinating transaction closings, interfacing with clients, legal professionals, brokers, and financial institutions, and maintaining comprehensive transaction records.
Key Duties
- Manage escrow accounts ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements.
- Prepare and review escrow instructions accurately for real estate and corporate transactions.
- Coordinate closings by communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, brokers, and financial bodies.
- Verify and authenticate documents, facilitating notarization processes as necessary.
- Resolve discrepancies and routine issues promptly to maintain smooth transaction flow.
- Provide professional customer service, managing client expectations and responding swiftly to inquiries.
- Collaborate with legal and transactional teams to support timely and compliant closings.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in managing escrow accounts and closing procedures.
- Experience with notary processes including document verification and authentication.
- Strong customer service aptitude, clear communication, and client management skills.
- Familiarity with residential real estate documentation, terminology, and closing protocols.
- Relevant qualifications such as diploma or degree in law, business, finance, or related areas preferred.
- Previous experience as escrow officer/agent or in real estate/legal services advantageous.
- Meticulous attention to detail with high ethical standards and ability to perform under pressure.
- Proficient in digital record-keeping and office software tools.
- Knowledge of Dubai's real estate laws and corporate transaction procedures is essential.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
