Engineer II - Mechanical/Civil Engineering

Role Overview

The Engineer II is tasked with creating and implementing advanced engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects. Responsibilities include preparing technical documentation, selecting suitable methodologies and equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient project execution while working collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in engineering solutions tailored to heavy lifting and transportation projects.
• Create and deliver complex engineering outputs such as method statements, detailed drawings, calculations, and risk assessments.
• Autonomously choose and validate engineering methods and equipment to uphold safety and efficiency.
• Support project delivery by managing engineering plans and adjusting them as project conditions evolve.
• Offer technical advice and mentorship to Junior Engineers, overseeing engineering scopes comprehensively.
• Provide counsel to Operations, Sales, and Project Management on engineering feasibility, associated risks, and technical trade-offs.
• Ensure precise and compliant engineering documentation adhering to international standards.
• Conduct comprehensive route surveys and produce detailed reports for heavy transport and logistics operations.
• Apply both established techniques and contribute to innovative engineering methodologies.
• Prepare and select updated engineering statements and procedures.
• Design drawings, calculations, visualizations, manuals, and perform risk assessments.
• Ensure project executions meet client requirements efficiently.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.

Required Skills and Experience

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong aptitude for quickly understanding new concepts, technologies, and engineering methods.
• Resilience and adaptability to shifting priorities to maintain continuous workflow.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
• At least 5 years of pertinent engineering experience within the heavy lifting sector, demonstrating competence in complex projects.
• Proficiency in engineering operational practices, systems, heavy lifting equipment like cranes and transport devices, including familiarity with relevant internal codes and standards.
• Experience using AutoCAD 2D and 3D for modeling, detailing, and drafting purposes.
