ELV Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced ELV Engineer with 6 to 8 years of expertise in the installation, testing, commissioning, and on-site management of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems. The chosen candidate will oversee site operations, ensuring all project tasks align with technical specifications, timelines, quality benchmarks, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily ELV site activities and manage project execution.
• Coordinate with installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers for seamless workflow.
• Track project progress and guarantee adherence to schedules and milestones.
• Review technical documents such as drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with approved project drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Perform site inspections to validate installation quality.
• Organize and conduct testing and commissioning plans, including checklists and procedures.
• Execute integrated and functional performance testing of ELV systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during installation and commissioning phases.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and authorities for inspections and testing protocols.
• Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports and handover documents.
• Represent the company in project coordination meetings and collaborate effectively with MEP and other disciplines to ensure smooth project interfaces.
• Maintain open communication channels with clients and project teams to fulfill client requirements diligently.
• Uphold company health, safety, and environmental policies onsite.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, maintain detailed testing and inspection records, and support project handover documentation including as-built drawings and operational manuals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 to 8 years of relevant ELV project experience involving execution, testing, and commissioning in sectors such as commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, or infrastructure projects, preferably in UAE or GCC regions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage site teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Technical and Soft Skills

• Strong knowledge of ELV standards, system designs, and commissioning processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Experience using testing instruments and commissioning tools.
• Familiarity with UAE authority regulations and industry standards.
• Preferred SIRA certification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of networking concepts and IP-based systems.
• Leadership aptitude and effective team management.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Capability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Organizational skills with strong reporting and documentation capabilities.
