About the Role
Harmony Early Education at Hope Island is looking for experienced Early Childhood Educators to join its multi-age team. This position involves working across all studios and supporting children from birth to 5 years, with particular experience needed in caring for babies and toddlers aged 0–2 years.
The centre values educators who bring flexibility, teamwork, and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality early learning. The role is suited to someone who can form strong connections with children, families, and colleagues while contributing to a positive and inclusive environment.
What Makes This Centre Different
Harmony describes itself as a place built around belonging, growth, support, and respect rather than just employment. The Hope Island service is presented as a flagship 230-place centre in a waterfront community, with an indoor sports centre, atelier, nearby parks, walking paths, and scenic surroundings that support children’s development and staff wellbeing.
Benefits
- 75% reduction on childcare fees for employees’ families
- Referral bonus payments of up to $3,000
- A retention payment of 15% in addition to Award conditions
- Access to Harmony Academy, the organisation’s learning platform
- Wellness support, social events, and a workplace culture designed to keep teams engaged
Child and Cultural Safety
The organisation places strong emphasis on child safety and cultural safety. Staff are expected to help maintain a setting where every child feels secure, acknowledged, heard, and respected. This is supported through proactive policies, ongoing training, and open communication with families and communities.
What You Will Do
The educator will help create play-based, safe, and inclusive learning spaces, support children’s rights and wellbeing, and contribute to a collaborative team culture. The role also involves building trusting relationships with families and celebrating each child’s identity, strengths, and learning journey.
About You
Applicants should be caring, curious, and committed to early childhood education. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a team, value inclusion, and understand their responsibilities around reporting and child safety.
