E-Commerce Backend and Product Data Executive

About the Role

The Rugs Store is seeking an E-Commerce Backend and Product Data Executive to manage product information across various platforms and ensure accurate and organized product listings. This role requires handling backend tasks, maintaining product databases, and coordinating with multiple teams to support online sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Adding and updating product details in Odoo ERP system.
• Uploading product information onto our website and online marketplaces.
• Maintaining product titles, descriptions, specifications, dimensions, materials, and color details.
• Managing product images by uploading, organizing, and renaming them appropriately.
• Maintaining and updating product SKUs, codes, and categories.
• Ensuring stock quantities and pricing information are current.
• Preparing and regularly updating Excel-based product databases.
• Creating and managing product feeds for different marketplaces.
• Checking product data for errors or duplicates to maintain accuracy.
• Managing product categories, attributes, and variants systematically.
• Conducting research to add relevant product keywords.
• Collaborating with sales, design, and production teams for accurate product data.
• Maintaining precise records of products and inventory levels.
• Performing routine backend data audits and corrections.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to work on large files.
• Strong computer and internet skills.
• Fast and accurate data entry capabilities.
• Proficient English reading and writing skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of e-commerce product listing workflows.
• Efficient handling of multiple products and data systematically.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with Odoo ERP system.
• Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
• Understanding of marketplaces such as Alibaba, Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace, and Etsy.
• Expertise in product feed management.
• Basic SEO and keyword research related to products.
• Basic skills in Canva or image editing software.
• Inventory management experience.
