Position Overview

The role of Digital Designer requires strong expertise in visual, motion, and digital product design to develop compelling learning and marketing materials. Going beyond traditional graphic design, this position encompasses digital, motion, UI/UX design, necessitating fluency with contemporary design and video software. Working collaboratively in a business-driven, customer-oriented setting, the designer must maintain exceptional quality, clarity, and polished visuals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop original visual media that effectively communicates intended emotions or messages in a cohesive manner.
• Select appropriate graphics, clip art, and stock photos to enhance content.
• Design digital user interfaces including layouts, screens, and interactive elements suitable for web-based and learning management systems.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to convey design intentions and user navigation flows.
• Implement UI/UX best practices focusing on hierarchy, accessibility, responsiveness, and usability.
• Collaborate closely with learning technology and development teams to ensure design feasibility and accurate implementation.
• Produce and edit motion graphics and video to enhance learning experiences and digital products.
• Edit videos by cutting footage, incorporating motion graphics, titles, transitions, and improving audio quality.
• Design user interface animations, interactive elements, and visual transitions for digital platforms.
• Format and edit impactful learning content and notes within PowerPoint presentations.
• Edit and format learning materials and instructor guides using Microsoft Word.
• Follow established storyboard templates and other designated formats.
• Review, adjust, and insert text, graphics, and other materials created by writers and designers.
• Prepare final files for printing or online publishing submissions.
• Engage and collaborate constructively with Illuminate colleagues and partners to fulfill client-specific design needs.
• Seek clarification to assure design components align with client requirements.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to project requests.
• Stay updated on design trends relevant to assigned programs and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, or a closely related field.
• Three to five years of experience in business-related graphic design and formatting.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma for prototyping and design systems.
• Expert skills in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics, UI animation, and visual effects.
• Strong ability in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and post-production work.
• Experience with Adobe Animate to create 2D animations, explainer videos, and interactive motions.
• Knowledge of Blender software for 3D animation, rendering, and advanced motion effects.
• Familiarity with UI/UX and prototyping tools such as Sketch and Adobe XD.
• Competency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word for formatting learning content and instructional guides.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams for content design delivery.
• Understanding of type styles, sizes, and layout patterns within Word documents.
• Comfortable with mobile technology usages.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
