Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate Digital Designer to join our creative team. This role centers on translating campaign strategies into engaging digital and social visual content that propels social movements. You will produce assets for various platforms, engaging audiences and supporting nonprofit campaigns focused on significant societal issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design compelling visuals for social media campaigns, including static images, carousels, stories, paid advertisements, and short videos.
- Maintain social content calendars by adapting creative concepts consistently across campaigns.
- Develop digital marketing visuals such as ads, email graphics, newsletters, and landing pages designed to drive conversions.
- Create content-rich materials like slide decks, reports, toolkits, and fact sheets that clearly communicate complex information.
- Convert strategic campaign ideas into impactful visual solutions that influence audience behavior.
- Stay updated on design and technology trends, including AI tools, to enhance creative output.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently, communicating effectively with team members about timelines and challenges.
- Work collaboratively with creative leads and other teams to refine designs based on feedback.
- Engage professionally in client meetings and presentations.
- Contribute to website design efforts including wireframes and UI mockups.
- Prepare final assets following accessibility standards and production quality checks.
- Assist in developing new brand identities and campaign visuals through research and creative exploration.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in digital design across agencies, in-house teams, freelance, or mission-driven contexts.
- A portfolio showcasing strong design fundamentals, visual storytelling, and adaptability across various digital formats.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, Google Workspace (especially Slides), and familiarity with basic video editing software like CapCut.
- Understanding of best practices for social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, Snapchat, and LinkedIn, including light copywriting and quick video editing.
- A proactive, iterative approach to design, valuing collaboration and feedback.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to articulate design rationale and respond to feedback.
- Ability to distill complex social issues into accessible, engaging designs.
- Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple projects and accurate time tracking.
- A genuine dedication to social impact and advocacy through design work.
Compensation and Work Conditions
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model requiring two days on-site weekly in Los Angeles, CA, promoting team collaboration. The pay ranges between $32 and $34 per hour based on experience.
