Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Digital Business Partner to join the team at Hamad International Airport in Doha. This role serves as the main liaison between the designated MATAR business portfolio—which includes AOCC, Facility Management, and Customer Experience—and MATAR IT, ensuring that technology initiatives align closely with business goals. The role demands fostering strong partnerships, maximizing the value derived from IT investments through collaboration, and guiding demand for business solutions and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business demands, opportunities, constraints, and risks into structured requirements and prioritized plans, supporting governance, portfolio planning, and strategic investment decision-making.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the assigned business area by continuous engagement with processes, services, challenges, and opportunities to provide meaningful digital guidance and recommendations.
- Identify and advocate for innovation, digital transformation, and data-driven improvements by leveraging business insights and cross-disciplinary collaboration aimed at enhancing service quality, operational efficiency, resilience, and customer experience.
- Collaborate to develop and sustain technology and capability roadmaps, strategies, and improvement priorities through joint efforts between business and IT to ensure alignment of digital projects with operational and strategic targets.
- Actively support the development of business requirements related to AI product initiatives within the assigned domain.
- Manage conflicting requirements and stakeholder priorities by effective communication, negotiation, and escalation to reach well-balanced decisions and maintain alignment across business and IT teams.
- Organize regular service evaluations, stakeholder meetings, and feedback sessions through structured engagement forums to boost service delivery, customer satisfaction, and fulfillment of agreed actions.
- Contribute to demand and budgetary planning cycles, as well as supplier management activities, through comprehensive portfolio analysis and stakeholder negotiations to ensure prioritization and timely delivery of business needs.
- Identify and monitor continuous service improvement efforts and business value outcomes through performance measurement and benefit tracking aimed at bettering services, processes, and operational results.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a High School Diploma, Vocational Qualification, Diploma, or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant work experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years related experience.
- Mandatory experience in airport operations.
- Proven background in IT business partnering, service delivery, demand management, business analysis, project management, or within a comparable digital or technology setting.
- Fluent and professional command of the English language is essential.
- Experience supporting projects, service improvements, change initiatives, or digital transformation projects within formal governance and delivery frameworks.
- Strong understanding of change management, process optimization, and the application of digital tools and data for enhancing service efficiency and business outcomes.
- Familiarity with IT service management principles, service lifecycle, and performance measurement methodologies, ideally in line with recognized best practice standards.
