Role Overview

We are seeking a Design and Content Coordinator to join our Strategic Communications team in Auckland. This fixed-term position, lasting 18 months, focuses on developing compelling, customer-focused internal communications through visual and digital content, aligning with our strategic priorities across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete design and deployment of internal communications such as newsletters, emails, videos, intranet (Max), and digital platforms, ensuring adherence to ANZ branding, accessibility standards, and strategic goals.
• Create, publish, and maintain accurate and pertinent content across internal channels including Max, Viva Engage, Staffbase, and Appspace aligned with organizational objectives.
• Oversee production and distribution of "Mōrena Aotearoa," ANZ NZ’s all-staff newsletter, through stakeholder collaboration, content development, visual design, platform management, and continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on best communication practices by selecting appropriate channels, formats, and designs to maximize clarity, reach, and impact.
• Lead visual design efforts and collateral creation for internal events, covering concept creation, branding, digital and physical materials development, and support during events.
• Conceptualize, script, produce, and edit video content to deliver engaging narratives across various business themes and audiences.
• Research and implement industry best practices in internal communications, design, and accessibility to continuously enhance employee engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated expertise in digital and visual communications, capable of producing high-quality content across video, email, intranet, print, and digital channels.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong command of Microsoft 365 applications such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Forms, and Power Automate, along with experience in internal content management systems like Staffbase.
• Complete video production skills encompassing concept creation, scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, and captioning.
• Experience collaborating with senior stakeholders to translate strategic messages into impactful communication materials.
• Keen attention to detail with a solid understanding of written communication techniques, brand guidelines, and accessibility requirements.
• Extensive background in visual communication design, digital media, or UX-focused roles.
• Familiarity with collaborative design tools such as Figma is advantageous but not mandatory.
