Role overview
As a Department Manager, you will guide and motivate your team while helping build an inclusive, cooperative workplace where people can do their best work. By living the company values, you will support both team performance and overall business success.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the team to deliver an excellent in-store customer journey by maintaining strong operational and visual standards, while actively promoting and selling products.
- Own the performance of your department and store area by reviewing sales results, spotting business opportunities, setting objectives, and building action plans to improve results, profitability, and stock control.
- Handle workforce planning, rota preparation, and smooth opening and closing procedures.
- Hire, induct, and grow team members while encouraging a collaborative and inclusive culture that supports development and new ideas.
- Keep track of fashion direction, customer behavior, and competitor activity to stay commercially competitive.
- Serve as a positive ambassador for both yourself and the brand in every customer interaction.
Working relationships
Store teams are central to the business, and this role works closely with colleagues across the store such as Sales Advisors, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, Visual Merchandisers, Cash Office Responsible, Delivery Responsible, and other department leaders. You will also coordinate with the wider Area Team to exchange knowledge and support success across locations.

The ideal candidate brings retail management and operational experience, strong people leadership, and the ability to coach others while reflecting company values. You should also be comfortable with sales planning, analysis, follow-up, customer-focused reporting, and working with figures.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. The role reports to the Store Manager.
