Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative

Job Overview

This position involves the safe, precise, and professional transportation of goods to customers, various sites, and other necessary locations from a base in Kent, requiring frequent travel. The delivery driver acts as the final physical representative of the company to the customer, significantly influencing customer satisfaction, delivery accuracy, and the company's professional image.

Core Duties

• Safely collect, load, and deliver goods punctually and accurately.
• Verify goods before loading and plan routes for efficiency.
• Obtain proof of delivery and report any issues without delay.
• Cross-check paperwork and delivery instructions prior to departure.
• Immediately report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies emphasizing accuracy as a component of customer service.
• Maintain the vehicle in a clean, roadworthy, and presentable condition.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
• Operate the vehicle responsibly in accordance with company policies.
• Assist warehouse operations and stock management when not engaged in deliveries.
• Remain adaptable to shifting priorities within operations.

Working Hours

This role requires working Monday through Friday, starting at 07:30 and finishing at 17:00.
