Role Summary

The Debt Collector role, based full-time on-site in Jammu, involves reaching out to clients regarding overdue payments, arranging repayment plans, and keeping account information current within company systems. Daily duties include making outbound calls, responding to inbound queries, clarifying account statuses, and providing detailed guidance on payment alternatives. This position also requires liaising with finance and operations teams internally, tracking payment promises, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. The debt collector must uphold a professional and courteous demeanor in all client interactions and consistently achieve collection objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in handling debt and cash collection, specifically experienced in managing overdue accounts and payment follow-up activities.
  • Confident and clear communicator capable of explaining financial details and managing challenging conversations tactfully.
  • Competent in computer usage, including spreadsheet handling, customer relationship management tools, and basic data entry within financial or billing platforms.
  • Basic finance knowledge, including the understanding of billing cycles, interest calculations, and repayment mechanisms.
  • Additional preferred qualifications include prior experience in collections or customer service, awareness of regional debt recovery laws, meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving capability, and capacity to operate effectively within performance-targeted settings.
  • Minimum educational qualification is a high school diploma or its equivalent, with higher education in finance, business, or related disciplines seen as advantageous.
