Data Analyst - Finance

About the Team

You will join Sea's headquarters Finance division, a key unit addressing accounting and financial operations for Sea's primary businesses: Garena, Shopee, and Monee, spanning various regions. The Group Data team focuses on creating and maintaining scalable data frameworks by building robust ETL pipelines for data intake, transformation, and storage, alongside web-based tools for streamlined access to data systems, facilitating accurate reporting and analysis.

Job Overview

The Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in delivering precise, thorough analyses aligned with business requirements. You will leverage your technical expertise on projects and contribute to designing and executing innovative solutions that address the evolving business landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Comprehend user needs and architect data deliverables accordingly.
• Analyze data sources; conceptualize and design data warehouses and ETL workflows.
• Develop, implement, and sustain ETL pipelines utilizing diverse technologies.
• Maintain data, scripts, and documentation in accordance with compliance standards.
• Assist users with offline data processing and enhance efficiency by automating repetitive tasks.
• Work closely with the data platform team to enhance platform capabilities facilitating ETL development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, business analytics, mathematics, statistics, or related fields.
• Self-driven learner with strong accountability.
• Proficient in SQL and Python; familiarity with R, Scala, Java, and Shell scripting is advantageous.
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Flink is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
