Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Custodial Worker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within the facility, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment.

• Gather, handle, and dispose of trash, garbage, and recyclable materials appropriately.
• Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing to maintain clean surfaces.
• Thoroughly clean furniture, restrooms, windows, walls, and fixtures to upkeep hygiene standards.
• Operate and maintain commercial cleaning machinery to ensure effective cleaning procedures.
• Transport and organize custodial supplies by unloading and relocating them to assigned areas.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning items and paper products to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Complete and submit weekly reports detailing completed tasks to the direct supervisor for accountability.
• Engage proactively in custodial training sessions to enhance skills and job performance.
• Support event and meeting setups by preparing designated locations as required.
• Assist in securing the facility by properly locking windows and doors for safety purposes.
• Notify supervisory personnel of any significant issues or equipment malfunctions encountered during work.
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned to support department operations.
