Corporate Actions Analyst – Asset Services

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst to join our Operations division at Craigs Investment Partners, based at our Tauranga head office. This permanent, full-time position is central to managing events in our asset pool and plays an important role in supporting both our Custodial Services Ltd function and broader business operations.

Role Overview & Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for protecting client interests in relation to corporate action events and distributing relevant data to clients of custodial services.
• Serve as a primary contact for the Asset Services team and business units on corporate actions matters.
• Analyze and interpret company announcements and documentation to determine client entitlements, key dates, and relevant tax consequences, ensuring accurate outcomes for clients.
• Maintain, update, and monitor changes within the Voluntary Corporate Actions (VCA) system.
• Communicate timely corporate action and class action updates to advisers and coordinate client responses as required.
• Process client instructions for corporate actions and facilitate payments with registries and third-party agents.
• Update client portfolios to reflect both mandatory and voluntary corporate event outcomes accurately.
• Ensure compliant operations with NZX rules, applicable legislation, and organization-wide procedures and policies.

Candidate Profile

• Relevant experience in corporate actions, asset data, or a closely related area, ideally within financial services or custodial environments.
• Quick to learn new skills; adapts efficiently to new systems, processes, and technology.
• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking along with effective communication abilities.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, collaborative, and high-paced team setting.
