Construction Manager

Role Overview

The Construction Manager will oversee Perry Homes construction processes, particularly focusing on the Phase II stage, from sheetrock taping and finishing through to overall home completion. The role also includes performing warranty services in line with company protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate multiple independent contractors across various job sites
• Procure required construction materials efficiently
• Monitor both the quantity and quality of materials and completed work
• Uphold Perry Homes' quality standards throughout the construction process
• Manage factors essential for success such as construction timeframes, site supervision, overhead costs, budget variances, and change orders
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Project Manager, Vice President of Construction, or Division President

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent
• Prior relevant leadership or management experience required
• Skilled in professional verbal and written communication and negotiation with independent contractors and homeowners; exceptional customer service skills essential
• Able to perform tasks under tight deadlines and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
• Competent in reading and understanding complex instructions, reports, correspondence, blueprints, construction plans, plats, and development plans
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fundamental understanding of local building codes and safety standards
• Knowledgeable of Perry Homes’ construction policies and procedures
• Possess a current, valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Have access to a truck compliant with Perry Homes' construction vehicle policies
