Compliance Officer

Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time Compliance Officer to join OBE | Bureau d'Études Enveloppe du Bâtiment in Dubai. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing some duties to be carried out remotely. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring business activities to ensure they align with all relevant local and international regulations, internal guidelines, and standards. Key duties include analyzing contracts, financial processes, and project documentation to spot compliance issues and advise on corrective measures.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor organizational activities to ensure compliance with laws, standards, and internal policies.
• Review contracts, financial and project documentation to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership on compliance status and concerns.
• Maintain organized records related to compliance activities and findings.
• Support internal audit processes through documentation and data provision.
• Collaborate with various teams to provide compliance guidance and deliver relevant training.
• Promote a culture of ethical conduct and transparency throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience managing compliance frameworks and policies, demonstrating expertise in Compliance Management.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance obligations relevant to applicable laws, industry standards, and building-related regulations.
• Proven strong analytical skills to evaluate risks, interpret relevant data, and develop practical, compliant solutions.
• Excellent communication abilities for creating clear documentation, reports, and for working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Basic knowledge of finance to comprehend financial controls, reporting mechanisms, and related compliance matters.
• Educational background in law, finance, business, engineering, or related disciplines.
• Prior work experience in compliance, risk management, or audit roles, preferably in construction, engineering, or professional services sectors.
• High ethical standards, strong attention to detail, and capability to work independently within a hybrid setting.
• Proficiency with common office software and familiarity with compliance management tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage part-time responsibilities efficiently.
