About Matillion and the Role

As a Community Manager, you will spearhead the transformation of Matillion's data professional community into a dynamic, AI-enhanced environment that fosters connection, knowledge sharing, and growth. This role requires proactive leadership, project management skills, and a passion for community development, focusing on creating a first-class community experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the community strategy and roadmap, evaluating the current platform and leading its evolution into an interactive, AI-driven experience attractive to customers and technical teams.
- Oversee and update community platforms such as Discourse, the Ideas Portal, Stack Overflow, and Reddit, ensuring consistency in branding, content quality, and functionality, including front-end enhancements via HTML and JavaScript.
- Coordinate a schedule for contributors, including Solution Architects and engineers, to maintain regular engagement and presence in community forums.
- Manage the integration of AI into the community by researching available technologies, collaborating with AI and Metrics teams, and delivering features like chatbots and advanced search capabilities.
- Regularly analyze community engagement data to identify trends, define success metrics, and make data-informed decisions to enhance the user experience for B2B SaaS customers.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in community management within a B2B SaaS context, understanding technical customer interactions and needs.
- Strong project management abilities capable of handling multiple initiatives and schedules without sacrificing quality or progress.
- Proficiency with front-end web technologies, specifically HTML and JavaScript, to independently manage platform styling and branding updates.
- Enthusiasm for AI technologies and their potential to enrich community features and engagement.
- Highly organized, collaborative, and data-oriented, able to work well with technical stakeholders and use engagement insights effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary range for this position is £36,000 to £54,000, with the final compensation dependent on relevant skills and experience. Matillion embraces flexible working arrangements encouraging work-life balance.
