Programmed Facility Management is a prominent provider specializing in facility maintenance, asset management, engineering, and construction services. They are looking to expand their Henderson-based Facility Management team by recruiting dedicated Cleaners to work full-time across the Auckland region.

Role Overview

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to join a leading organisation with an initial temporary appointment and the prospect of permanent employment after three months for suitable candidates. The work involves cleaning various public venues including restrooms, libraries, commercial premises, and community centres mainly within West Auckland and adjacent areas.

Employees begin shifts at the Henderson depot before traveling to designated sites using company vehicles. The role requires physical stamina, as it involves prolonged periods of standing and cleaning multiple locations while upholding high standards in facilities frequently accessed by the public. Candidates should be prepared to commit fully to a demanding, hands-on position.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cleaning of public restrooms, libraries, commercial facilities, and community centres.
• Operate company vehicles to travel between multiple job sites.
• Maintain consistent cleaning quality meeting client expectations.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous commercial cleaning experience highly valued.
• Possession of a full New Zealand Driver Licence is mandatory.
• Good physical fitness and endurance.
• Dependability and punctuality are essential.
• Teamwork skills and a willingness to learn.
• Commitment to full-time hours (40 per week) including flexibility to work weekends, mainly Thursday to Sunday.
• A positive attitude and readiness to develop professionally.

Work Schedule

Day Shift (Public Restrooms & Libraries): 40 hours weekly, Thursday to Sunday plus two additional rostered days, start times between 6:00am and 9:00am.
Night Shift (Community Centres, Kitchens & Bathrooms): 40 hours weekly, Thursday to Sunday plus two rostered days, working 6:00pm to 2:30am.
